British Sugar Overseas
In 1994, British Sugar was given a mandate by parent company, Associated British Foods (ABF), to develop businesses in South East Asia and Eastern Europe for the manufacture of sugar and related products.

Accordingly, the existing Polish sugar producer, SugarPol, formed the nucleus of a new ABF investments organisation, British Sugar (Overseas) Limited (BSO).

Since then, BSO has rapidly expanded, particularly in China and Poland, by participating in a number of important new ventures.

BSO, with the full support and backing of ABF, continues to seek investment opportunities through local joint ventures and supply partnerships, to establish strong, long term growth.
