3. How far in advance should I apply to Siemens?
Current vacancies of all business unite and branch companies or offices
of Siemens Ltd. China are advertised on our company’s job site www.siemens.com.cn/careers
and also www.zhaopin.com;
www.51job.com; www.chinahr.com
. As soon as a position is advertised there, you can apply for it.
Current vacancies of all joint ventures and affiliated companies in China
are only posted on www.zhaopin.com;
www.51job.com and www.chinahr.com.
4. Are the current vacancies posted on the websites
still available?
All current vacancies listed on the websites are real-time vacancies.
Whenever the vacancies are filled, the posting will be closed immediately.
Please feel free to apply whenever you find an interested position.
5. Can I submit more than one application and How can
I apply?
If you want to apply for two positions with different job numbers and
different Siemens business units, when you apply on-line, you just need
to respond to the respective position. If you want to send your resume
by post mail, then please send us separate applications to respective
address under each job vacancy description, each with the relevant job
number or job title. This will allow us to process your applications simultaneously
and therefore more efficiently.
6. In which language should I hand in my resume?
English and Chinese.
7. Which locations do you offer and do I need to be
mobile?
Siemens has established more than 28 regional offices and over 40 operating
companies in China. We have positions located in many cities all over
China. The headquarter of Siemens Ltd. China is Beijing. The location
will be stated in the job advert. Particularly in Sales and Service/Consulting,
locations may vary depending on the customer and the project, so mobility
and flexibility are obviously requirements in these areas.
8. Does Siemens need graduate students?
Yes. It depends on the job requirements and the qualification of the candidate.
We also have separate campus recruiting activities in October - December
each year and most the positions suitable for fresh graduates are posted
on the campus site of www.ChinaHR.com.
9. Does Siemens need students majored in non-technical
subjects?
Yes, we need people with different educational background. It depends
on vacancy and the qualification of the candidate and her/his working
experiences.
10. As a professional entrant, should I have prior
management experience?
That depends entirely on the job for which you are applying. As an expert,
you may already have this experience. If not, we can support you as you
take on management responsibilities by providing the relevant induction
process and specific training courses. Switching between our three different
career paths - management, specialist, project management - is both possible
and desirable.
11. When can I get a feedback?
Soon after you submit your on-line or email application, you will receive
an automatic email acknowledgement about the receipt of your application.
We will contact you within 4-6 weeks for an interview arrangement if we
find your qualifications match your applied position or another possible
position. We do not send any rejection letters to those who did not pass
the pre-selection.
12. Can I apply if I do not have a Beijing hukou?
Yes. Siemens will help you apply for the working permit, provided that
you supply all the relevant documents as required by the authorities.
13. Do you have written exams when I come to interview?
Normally no. For certain positions (e.g. secretary, press specialist etc.),
we will ask the candidates to show their competence in respective areas
in written form.
14. How many times do I need to come for interview?
Normally 2 times at least. It depends on the requirement from the department.
15. Do you provide a lot of training for your employees?
Yes. We have training units that provide training ranging from basic skill
(e.g. computer, language, working method, presentation skills etc.) to
advanced management learning. We will have individual training plan according
to the knowledge, skill and experience of respective person.
